Enid Hoessinger was a popular decorative painter whose special multi-loading painting technique became quite famous throughout the folk art and tole painting world. When Enid Hoessinger began painting folk art in 1976, fellow artists urged her to teach her approach -- a combination of 13 basic brushstrokes and an innovative multi-loading brush technique. Since then, Hoessinger's teaching has helped thousands of decorative painters around the world discover the joy of painting in the folk art style.
Enid worked extensively with DecoArt to formulate some of her most frequently used colors and they are named after her!
A world renowned traditional folk art painter, Enid J.H. Hoessinger, CDA, teaches her techniques throughout her homeland of Australia, as well in America, Europe, South Africa and Japan. She also operates the Folk Art Academy of Australia where she has taught more than 1,600 students. She is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters
